The Practice of Mind-Body Care

Bloom is more than a private practice, it’s a movement connecting coaches and therapists of all disciplines and modalities who are passionate about bridging the gap between mind and body and meeting the highest standard of results-driven care.

Our ecosystem spans coaches and holistic healers in diverse areas of physical health (chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, western medicine), life coaching (life coaches, relationship coaches), and mental well-being (psychotherapy, somatic therapy, humanistic therapy, and more).

Our community is part movement, part networking group, and part extended group practice. Our members inspire each other to push new frontiers and help each other grow thriving practices in our respective industries. We are collectively building a future where individuals, families, and entire communities are nourished, interconnected, and abundant.

"Why Now?

How have we arrived at such a non-integrated time?

Well, we live in a coaching and healing world where there is an odd gap between “mind” and “body” practitioners. For instance, if you receive traditional talk therapy, it is actually considered a cardinal sin and taboo to touch you as part of your treatment. As a result, even if you have stored trauma in your body, or massive tension in your shoulders and gut, it is generally considered the best approach to treatment to simply talk about it! Even “somatic therapy” which is a form of therapy involves *talking about your physical experience* and offering hands-off demonstrations. Touch is simply generally not included.

At the same time, there are “touch” oriented healing services such as massage, rolfing, acupuncture, chiropractic, aestheticians, etc. In these modalities, the focus tends to be on healing or nurturing your physical body. While you might enjoy some residual benefit to your mental health (people are often the most relaxed they ever can be after a massage), the goal is generally to receive care for your body. Your mind is not the focus. You don’t even generally talk much during a treatment.

We as human beings are animated in both our mind and body. From a spiritual standpoint, you might say that we are spiritual beings living a human existence. To ignore either our mind or our body is to ignore a key piece of our healing. What we all seek is vitality. Vitality is the state of being ALIVE."
